Founded by Shubham, a high school student at North Trail High School in Calgary, Dreams for Teens is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth by helping them pursue their passion for basketball—regardless of financial barriers.
We believe every young athlete deserves a fair shot. Unfortunately, the rising costs of club fees, equipment, and tournament travel—often reaching over $1,000—exclude many talented youth from participating in the sport they love. This financial burden not only limits access but also crushes dreams.
To combat this, Dreams for Teens organizes local 3v3 basketball tournaments and community events, with proceeds going directly toward supporting youth teams, purchasing gear, covering tournament fees, and donating to local causes such as Calgary Youth Sports. We aim to rebuild basketball as a community-first sport—accessible, inclusive, and inspiring.
